Recommended Training

Head off any bad habits you might have and learn your way around a firearm the right way with training. Watch the video to the left for our top three training recommendations or read on below.

New Shooter Class: If you’re new to shooting and have little to no experience with a handgun, this is where you should start. Our instructors will patiently teach you the fundamentals of shooting and the basics of gun safety, so you can have confidence and fun on the range. All equipment provided by Shoot Smart for the class. Sigh up for a New Shooter class here.

On Target: Maybe you already have some basic firearms experience and are looking to take the next step. If your accuracy is inconsistent and you’d like to sharpen up your aim, our On Target Class might be right for you. We’ll help correct your aim and coach you in increasing your accuracy and shooting tighter group. A great class for both beginners and experienced shooters alike. Sigh up for an On Target class here.

Private Instruction: Maybe you learn better in a one-on-one setting, or have specific needs you would like to address. Then a Private Lesson is the perfect option. Meet with a certified Instructor for one hour for a completely customized training experience. Schedule a Private Lesson here.

Range Tips & Tricks

Make your range experience as safe and fun as possible with these basic tips and tricks. Watch the video to the right or read on below.

  1. Know the range rules. Read the range rules now to know what's expected. View the rules here. (link to rules page)
  2. Speed up your check in process by completing the participation agreement online here. (link to waiver)
  3. Wear range appropriate clothing. We recommend a button up shirt or shirt with a high collar, long pants, closed toe no slip shoes (tennis shoes, boots, or flats), and a ball cap. Warning! Hot brass casings can fall in low cut or open back tops.
  4. Don't shoot the same boring silhouette or bulls-eye targets. Pick a fun target from time to time like a zombie, battleship, or poker target.

  • What's the minimum age to visit the range?

Kids 8 and up are welcome to share a lane with a parent or guardian 21 or older.

  • Can I bring my own ammo?

Yes you can! We just ask that your ammo not be not steel core, steel jacket, bi-metal, or painted tip. And we have both rentals and ammunition conveniently provided at affordable rates.

  • Do you have a rifle range?

You are welcome to shoot rifles in our ranges - on our unique Private Suites. Our lanes are less than 25 yards, but in addition to using your rifle calibers, we can assist with sight ins, too.

  • How long do we have to shoot?

Shoot Smart never has time limits meaning you can shoot as long as you like. Or at least until we close at 9 PM.

  • Will there be someone to help us?

Range Safety Officers are always available to give you a hand. If you would like a more personal one-on-one experience, we recommend scheduling a private lesson with one of our certified instructors. Learn more about lessons here.

  • Do I have to have a Membership?

Membership is not required to use the range. But does offer some great benefits like FREE lane rentals. Check out our memberships here.

  • Can I shoot a Shotgun at your range?

You are welcome to shoot Shotguns in our Private Suites. We just ask that you use Buckshot or Slugs when shooting. Don't own a Shotgun? No problem, we have rental Shotguns available.

  • Do I need to reserve a lane?

Reservations aren't needed. Just stop by the range M-F from 10 AM to 9 PM, or S-Su from 9 AM to 9 PM.

  • Do you have a dress code?

We don't have a dress code, but do have recommendations when it comes to what to wear to the range. We recommend you wear close-toed shoes, avoid low cut clothing, and a baseball cap can help to keep shell casings away from your face. Other than that, we ask everyone to wear eye and ear protection.

  • Can I buy just one bullet?

The majority of our ammunition is sold in 50 or 100 round boxes. Some of our specialty ammo can be purchased in 5 round quantities.

  • I've never been to an indoor range before, what should I expect when I arrive?

Check out this video to learn what to expect during your first visit to the range.
