SHOPPING FAQ

  • Do you offer layaway?

    Yes! The layaway policy allows members a convenient alternative for purchasing a firearm. A firearm may be set aside for you with just a 25% down payment. The balance is due within 60 days. You may receive your firearm upon full payment. You will need to maintain your membership for the duration of the layaway period. Layaway is limited to a maximum of two firearms per person at any one time.


    If you change your mind and do not want to purchase the item, or you are denied during the Federal Background Check Process (Form 4473), any remaining funds will be refunded to you, minus the 25% down payment. If the firearm is not paid for in full within the 60-day period, we will attempt to contact you three times with an additional 10-day grace period before canceling the sale and refunding your money, minus the 25% down payment.

  • What is your return policy for in-store purchases?

    Shoot Smart will issue refunds or exchanges for most unopened items in new condition and returned within 90 days with a receipt or valid customer profile. Firearm, ammunition, and gift card sales are final, and are not eligible for return or exchange.


    Cash returns are available, as cash or store gift card, if the customer has a valid receipt or a current customer profile, including relevant transaction history, and the original purchase was a cash transaction. Valid cash returns exceeding $100 will be processed by check, mailed to the customer within 10 - 15 business days. Shoot Smart is not responsible for lost or stolen checks. Check transactions will be treated as cash. All other returns will be refunded using the same method as original payment.

  • What is your return policy for online purchases?

  • Can I pick up a gun I purchased elsewhere online in one of your stores?

  • Do you sell suppressors?

    We can help you get a suppressor. Please check out our Suppressor page for the details. 

  • Do you offer warranty on firearms?

    Yes! At Shoot Smart, customer satisfaction is our #1 goal. If anything ever goes wrong with any gun you buy under the Shoot Smart Supplemental Limited Lifetime Warranty, Shoot Smart warrants that it will be repaired, replaced, or refunded at no charge to you.

  • Do gift cards expire?

    Please note that all gift cards purchased from Shoot Smart expire five years from the date of purchase. After this period, the gift card will no longer be valid for use. It is important to keep track of the expiration date and utilize the gift card within the specified timeframe. Shoot Smart is not responsible for any unused or expired gift cards.

MEMBERSHIP FAQ

  • Is a membership required?

    No, Shoot Smart is open to the public. But membership can save you money on lane rentals, ammo, equipment, and training.

  • How do training rewards work?

    Training rewards are credits that can be used for any training class or lessons at Shoot Smart. For Patriot and Liberty members, training rewards accrue each month. A team member can walk you through redemption anytime.

  • Is my membership good at all Shoot Smart locations?

    Yes. All memberships are valid at every Shoot Smart location.

  • Who is covered under my family membership?

    Family memberships cover yourself, 1 adult (spouse or domestic partner) and 2 children under 21 (in the same household).

  • Can I bring a guest?

    Guests of members sharing a lane will be charged Shoot Smart's normal lane fees. See our Range page for more details.

  • Do you have a membership for active military, veterans, or first responders?

    Yes, our Hero membership is equivalent to our Patriot membership but for only $30 a month!

  • Who qualifies for the Hero membership?

    The Hero membership is available to all former or active military as well as all first responders including but not limited to fire fighters, police, and EMS personnel.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Unlike most ranges, Shoot Smart memberships are truly month to month. Meaning you may cancel at at least seven days prior to renewal with no additional fees or penalties. Cancel Membership

GENERAL FAQ

  • Private Suites Vs. Traditional Lanes?

    Rifles/Shotguns/Handguns are allowed in our 15 yd long private suites. You can also practice rapid fire and holster work.


  • What is the Minimum Age Allowed to Shoot?

    Kids 8 and up are welcome to share a lane with an adult 21 or older.

  • How Should I Bring in a Firearm?

    When entering the range, your firearm should be brought in unloaded and in a case, bag, box, or holster.


  • What is the Minimum Age to Rent Firearms?

    Customers must be 18 or older to rent rifles, and 21 or older to rent handguns. The same rules apply to ammo purchases. Customers who appear under 35 may be required to show proof of age.


  • Is Membership Required to Use Your Range?

    Membership is not required to visit the range, but it does give you added benefits like $0 lane fees and up to 15% off merch.


  • Can I Reserve a Lane?

    Since we don't have time limits on our lanes, we don't offer reservations. Learn about our wait list here: https://shootsmart.com/join-the-line


  • Do You Offer a Military/LEO/First Responder Discount?

    We always offer 25% off full-priced lane rentals and the discounted Hero membership for our Military/LEO/First Responder fans.


  • Can I Bring My Own Ammo?

    Yes, all brands of ammo are welcome. We just ask that you not shoot steel-jacketed/core, tracers, painted tip, or magnetic ammo.
