This will provide adequate time to check-in, select your rental gun, ammunition, and target options, and prepare for your experience on the range.

Step 2

Please check-in with the store team when you arrive.

We can't assign you to a lane until we know you are physically in-store.

Step 3

Save time at check-in by completing your waiver online or from your phone now.

Click the link below or text waiver to 85775 to pre-complete your waiver. A waiver is required for each adult 18 or older. Customers under 18 should be included on an adult waiver.

  • Can I bring my own ammo?

Yes, you can! We just ask that your ammo not be not steel core, steel jacket, bi-metal, or painted tip. And we have both rentals and ammunition conveniently provided at affordable rates.

  • What kind of ammo is allowed?

We permit full-metal jacket (copper or brass), soft points, hollow points, #4 buckshot or larger (#3, #2, #1, #0, #00, #000) and slugs in all calibers (including .410 gauge). No steel-jacketed projectiles, no tracers, no painted tips. We check ammo. To find out if your projectile is steel-jacketed, hold a magnet to the tip of the projectile. If it sticks, you have a prohibited material that we cannot accommodate.

  • How long do we have to shoot?

Shoot Smart never has time limits meaning you can shoot as long as you like. Or at least until we close.

  • How much do you charge for ammunition?

Our ammunition prices vary by caliber and brand, but we offer competitive and convenient prices on ammo to save you a trip to the big box store! Call or email for specific information.

  • Will there be someone to help us?

Range Safety Officers are always available to give you a hand. If you would like a more personal one-on-one experience, we recommend scheduling a private lesson with one of our certified instructors. Learn more about lessons here.

  • Do you have the rental gun I want?

Very likely! We maintain rental fleets that vary by location. Our fleets contain the most popular firearms on the market, along with many fun guns and sometimes rare finds. If you are looking for a particular model, please contact us with the models you prefer.

  • How many customers can be on one lane?

At Alliance and Benbrook, two customers are allowed in a traditional lane and 4 customers are allowed in a suite. At Grand Prairie, three customers are allowed in a traditional lane, and 4 customers are permitted in a suite. Please note that these restrictions may vary at the discretion of the store manager.

  • How much is a lane rental?

View our current rental rates here.

  • How much do additional customers pay on the same lane?

Additional shooters on the same lane pay half-price of the primary lane rental. Only one primary lane rental is charged per lane.
