UPDATE 3/24/2020

Dear Valued Members

First and foremost, thank you all for your patience, understanding, and kindness over the past week while we navigated this ever-changing world. As you may be aware, Shoot Smart has closed all three locations in compliance with the most recent Tarrant County Emergency Declaration. We apologize for any inconvenience, and we want to assure you that we’re planning to reopen as soon as possible.

Already, we have received several calls and emails asking for memberships to be canceled. We’re happy to help with whatever decision you make and understand you’re concerned about your return on investment while we’re closed. We also are grateful to all of you who have stuck with us and plan to stick with us, despite the closure. Your support for our locally owned small business and our family of employees is a big part of why we love serving this community.

For members who continue to support us through this time of uncertainty, here’s what we’re working on for you:

  • Future membership credits and free extensions retroactive to March 13th, 2020
  • Store credit to provide immediate value when you’re able to get back on the range
  • Priority access to firearm-training classes and lessons

For members who decide to cancel, here’s what we’re working on for you:

  • Managing cancellation and providing added web support
  • Retention of accrued training credits for those who renew within 30 days of reopening
  • The ability to reactivate terminated memberships when we reopen to the public

To maintain your membership, you don’t need to do anything. You have our thanks and the gratitude of the team. To cancel, simply complete our membership cancellation form online HERE, and we’ll respond by email with a confirmation of cancellation within three business days. When business returns to normal, we’ll reach out to reactivate your membership.

UPDATE 3/23/2020

On Sunday, March 22, 2020, the City of Fort Worth ordered us to close our business, based on the most recent Emergency Declaration by Tarrant County and Fort Worth. The latest declaration orders expire on March 28, 2020. Therefore, after additional consideration, Shoot Smart will temporarily close all three Tarrant County locations effective today, March 23, 2020. We are eager to reopen as soon as our government leaders permit.
If you have a firearm in transfer or with our gunsmiths, we will reach out to you directly to discuss your options. Members, be on the lookout for a specific email later today.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

We sincerely appreciate all of the love and support shown by our fans over the past week while we have navigated this situation. We look forward to serving you again very soon!

For questions or comments, please email us at, or text us at (682) 207-2018.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding this week.

Shoot Safe, Shoot Straight, Shoot Smart.

The Shoot Smart Team

UPDATE 3/22/2020 11:06 AM - The City of Fort Worth has asked that we close the Alliance location to all business. Please see our Benbrook or Grand Prairie locations for your firearm and ammo needs.

Shoot Smart is aware of the March 21, 2020, Tarrant County Emergency Declaration Amendment request to close all non-essential businesses in the county. The owners and management are taking COVID-19 very seriously. We have decided after careful consideration that we provide an essential service to the community and that we must remain open. After food and shelter, there is no greater need or necessity than the ability to protect ones' self and loved ones. We believe this falls within the County's stated distinction for essential businesses.

We will continue to assess the situation day-by-day, and we're taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of our employees and customers. To that end:

- The shooting range bays will close, though our retail stores will remain open for customers to purchase essential firearms, accessories, and ammunition.

- Booked training customers will be notified separately regarding the status of training and lessons.

- Furthermore, our hours will temporarily change to 12 am - 6 pm Monday through Sunday until further notice.

- We will adhere to CDC, county, and state guidance and not allow more than 10 people in any room of our facilities at any given time.

We will continue to update you with any changes in our business hours or closures. We appreciate your understanding and will make every effort to ensure the safety of our customers and employees. We have given careful consideration to what is best for the community and as always are grateful for your support and patronage.

Please feel free to send any suggestions, comments, or concerns to: or text: (682) 207-2018

Stay safe out there, and as always, thank you for your support of our locally owned business.
